I was honored to be invited to a Cheyenne tribal pow wow in Big Bear Lake, California several years ago. I was fascinated by the talent and the culture of those I met. The highlight for me was to meet the new tribal princess. Still in her teens, she was the creator of everything she wore that day from the deerskin to the intricate beadwork and jewelry. She was kind enough to pose for this painting, a true honor for me to paint the “Cheyenne Princess”.
