Description
While on an elk hunt as a young man, we pulled our horses from Texas to a camp in the foothills. We had a 10 mile ride up the mountain where we would spend a week camped by a large trout lake. As we began to pack the horses for the ride up the mountain, an intense snow began. Our Texas horses began to spook and pitched their loads into the snow, and we spent several hours calming them down and repacking. Once they settled down our journey began, the results of that rough start were simply “Colorado Cool”.
