Description
During the early days of the covid 19 scare, I was made aware of how the epidemic was preventing entertainers from performing live for their fans. Famed Texas singer-songwriter Gary P Nunn began a public awareness campaign for Texans to wear masks and cooperate with public officials in order to get everyone back to work. I enthusiastically joined the movement, and this painting was my contribution. Over 73 Texas musicians, singers and celebrities are gathered around the Stevie Ray Vaughn monument in Austin. Even though it’s a bit whimsical, the movement saw Texans step up and join together with great success proclaiming the message from the “Texas Maskuerade Party”.
