While driving through southern New Mexico a few years ago, I spotted this rider silhouetted against a contrasting sunset. His lariat was swinging in the wind as he chased three horses through the chamisa-covered prairie. I don’t know if he was successful, but he was certainly thankful for the rain accompanying “The Chase”.
